Reflections on wearing an Eagles jersey to piano lessons

It is the week preceding Super Bowl LVII, between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. In celebration, I’ve been wearing my jersey to lessons this week. It has been met welcomingly, most often at the beginning of lessons - the younger students light up a bit when they see it. I also find myself noticing bits of Eagles apparel, like pens and slippers, more often than usual (these are quite possibly new acquisitions as well). Would it be permissible to wear a sports jersey to lessons in other cities? I imagine so, although it could hardly be a surprise here. It’s difficult to overstate what this team seems to mean to the city. Go Birds!
